welding prat

I built me a new bike transporter trailer yesterday from old odds and sods lying around the place.

Weather was not too bad so had on a vest. (No not Rab C type) a sleeveless T shirt.

Anyway the midgies were so bad I was determined not to let the buggers grind me down so kept on going after about 170 different weld runs I finished the trailer and had a shower then realised my shoulders and upper arms were on fire.

Couldn't sleep the pain is intense and arms have blistered to hell. around shoulders. Fecking roasted them with all the grinding and welding never realised at the time, too busy focused on not letting the midgies win.

I thought it was safer not to wear too many clothes cus when the motlen blobs go inside yer boiler suit then burn through the shirt then roll down inside your shorts it makes for a very memorable experience

Roasted the knacker sack one years ago so definatley no nylons

You'd be amazed to know just how much UV you get from a welder - no really, it's HUUUUGE!!! I reckon you could sit in direct sunlight for a week and not get as much as from a days welding!

The owl arrived BTW. Looks fine. Will have to wait for the next run now though as I put some in yesterday. Doh!
