CB Radio

Fitted a CB to mine the other week, a little Midland 38 and a Stinger aerial.
Have been scanning all channels for days driving to work up and down the A12 between Chelmsford and Colchester.

Haven't heard a sole yet..

The only contact I've heard is a couple of tractor folk chatting in the evening.
My only clue that it works.
Does anyone use CB anymore?

..80 channel (40UK/40EU) Uk legal stamp on it.

I had the same problem mine was set to the 40 eu changed it to uk and all sorted make sure it says UK in the corner of the display if its the same as my midland. then go to ch19 should be lots of people on there!

think they dont have legal stamps on these days i might be wrong n yes people still use cb's but not like it use to be when i came legal or the ol am days

Was thinking of adding one to mine, did you put it under the stereo? Any chance of anyone with a CB adding some pics of there setups?

just the odd nobhead round here, but the propegation ( think thats right ) is comin to a high spot, so in the afternoons u can here all the spanish, italains, ect, better on eu channels, al have to get me side bander out i think.

yeah ith under the radio fits in nice with two brackets each side! some feople have them fitted in the ash tray! i will try and sort some pics if i get chance and find my camera!!

I put mine under the stereo. Had to take dash to bits to cut the back out the wee cubby bit. Looks a nightmare but quite straight forward( must be if i can do it)

Bought mine especially for Weardale and guess what? Everyone else had hand held radios! Waste of time unless you're traveling or off roading with mates who also have cb's.

Gonna sell mine and I've only used it twice since I bought it brand new!

The minute you sell it though, every bugger will have CB's and not PMR's.
