  • Just Taken The Dog To The Vets

Just taken another dog to the vets for xrays as we and the vet think she has cancer in her nose and a tumor in her head.I will know for certain in a while when i get a phone call but we have said that if it is what we all think it is we don't want her brought out of the annaesthetic as its not fair on her to suffer as her head hurts at the slightest touch.
On top of that we took the oldest do to the vets on saturday for more blood test which were sent off to the lab and we're now waiting for those results to come back and its not looking so good for him either. Its bad enough to have one dog that may depart in one week but with the chance of 2 its really gut wrenching

i dont like seeing any animal in pain.
when i was about 12, 13, i remember rushing to get off to school and i remember seeing my cat curled up on the gras. i assumed he was asleep and run right past.
later on mum called me, he had been run over and didnt have the energy to get anywhere else. he had just climber a very steep set of stairs from the road side. was about 2 and a bit hours later my mum found him. still alive she took him to the vet but too much internal injuries to save him. they put him down.
his twin, a female died a couple of years ago from a blood clot, after her brother died, then we moved, then we got another cat, all she did was sleep in my room. really hope your dogs are ok.
        Oh Nana, what's my name?

we had a 5year old dog die nearly 5years ago and the poor buggar suffered for 2 weeks because the old vet we belonged to wouldn't let a trainee do some test on him as he had symptoms relating to his head which she recognised from training in germany and by the time the vet decided to do something it was to late so now we have said we don't want her to suffer at all and not to bring her round if she has the tumor and cancer once shes had the xrays taken. She was a rescue dog and about 12 years old and we got her at about 9 months so she has had a good life

Just got off the phone with the vets and she wants to send biopsies off to a specialist just to clarify what she is suspecting so its not looking good for her at the mo but at last we'll have her back for another couple of days

Feel for you mate. Funny though in a civilised society they won't do the same thing for my father in law, who is so $$$$ed off with cancer (3rd bout!) that he wants to check out and can't

its funny really how we get so attatched to an animal but when you've had them for such a long time they are like a member of the family and i couldn't do what i think its Tonytom does with the guide dogs getting them trainned a bit and having to habd them over to someone else
