Vets bills? rant

Originally posted by CopycatI'm not against paying a reasonable fee, if I have to pay £30 to £40 an hour for a mechanic then I don't mind paying the same for a vet. I do begrudge paying £53 for 1 antibiotic injection and 5 minutes of the vets time, and that's no exageration.

I have just read this thread and as part of the biggest dog owning association around I can only praise the Vets we come into contact with. The local vet that looks after my pups NEVER charges for consultations, rarely charges for drugs and dicounts all ops he performs.
When I first got involved with guide Dogs I thought he was the odd one out, I now know that the majority of vets look after GD stock in this way. so Nikki a big thank to you and your colleagus from many gratfull pups and dogs.

I'm a heating engineer, and my philosophy has always been" if I can't fix it, I won't charge you" I wish vets and mechanics did the same, they might get it right more of the time, instead of the customer paying for their learning curve.Rob
Still working for the man!
