Just seen the pic you've popped up. The right angle still seems pretty stiff, resistance wise, and is a single point of failure.

no i cant do that, the four downpipes meet about a foot infront of the muffler.other wise i would.bit of a bummer really but then nothings that easy.

the only thing that could upset the mot man is the exhaust exiting near a passenger compartment, if you have a three door no probs but with a four/five door is the problem....

yea but it wont be a right angle it will be two 90 degree elbows spliced in the middle and welded together.just did the drawing quickly to show you what i meant.

i though that but it went through the mot with the side exit exhaust it has on now and that exits just in front of the nearside passenger door.

Why not half way between the two drawings? Curved pipes from muffler to exit point? Only place you'd have any real angle then would be where it exits the slider.

I asked about that awhile ago. Apparently there's no MOT requirement with regards to exit point.

I wonder about you on occasion. It'll be intriguing to see what it looks like, (and how it performs).

the mot regulations state that the sound of the surf must sound like another surf of the same type... there are always bends in the rules

a 5litre v8 i would of expected a 3" dual system. so 3" each side. but being a custom doubt there is much room. there is ways round this, eg splitting the pipe into 2 each side, but the Y or V creates turbulance.. all depends where your using your power at high revs or not etc..
stein want a hand making some stuff? im not bad at stainless tigging
