Helicopter crash on the news. Bounced really hard on the helideck and ended up in the sea.

did you see the one shown on the news a few years ago after the channel 5 movie.
a chanook was being used to repair a road bridge and the person doing the work suspended from the heli kept saying go lower go lower... but the pilot went too low and clipped the top of the bridge with the blades. the thing just came down and smashed into a ball of flames. no one survived.

also i remember watchin a program about ejector seats in choppers. and how this type gets ejected out the bottom in their capsure and before it hits the ground the air bags get deployed. but the force of this 2 man capsule hitting the floor still broke both their lower backs disks. they recovered though, but they must have been in serious pain

Some Russian helos have conventional ejector seats, and the rotor blades are fitted with explosive bolts so the rotors are blown off first. There's no going back if your seat fails to fire though!

i used to speak to someone who flew a chopper in the army. years ago that was. i would of loved to have gone down that road. too late now though.
next best thing is online fighter simulators used to play F-22. that was fun

Dont think it was a Lynx as there were 9 of them on board. Thats a bit full for a Lynx!

May not even have been a Brit helo. Had my headphones on at the time listening to music but saw the crash happen out of the corner of my eye.
