Exactly its crazy aint it! I was looking at a dodge ram 2500 mk somet! two before the new shape just out. like 98-2001 model! Over in america they sell less then a 4runner does an the runners are rust buckets out in us of a!

As Soon as insurance is reasonablish! I want either a dodge ram or a Harley davidson Ford F-250.... Jacked the hell up of course!

Worse thing is... Ive seen rams with 35" tyres and there like.... so what! Ive stood next to a 99 Ram cummins with roof spots, Tool box, jacked the hell up so high that the bonnet was higher then my head... The bloke who owned it sold his surf for it.. said it was the only truck that had that grin factor other then a surf!!

mad! i spent hours looking through monster pics. i loved it when i watched live online tv of them racing through watery mud.
ive liked the ram 3500 for ages now. its a dually. i really like it when you have 4 rear wheels. i know cummins are powerful, but how do they compare to the detroit diesels? eg v8 or v12, 2 stroke
      Oh Nana, what's my name?

When I was in Florida last month, there were radio ads advertising 'Veterans Day Specials' of Ford F150s starting at $14000 (thats around £7000!)

not all 3500's are duallys but the duallys are nice!! I was driving down into romsey one morning when a GMC pickup was coming the otherway. When i first saw it i thought "ah its a suburban" but then at the last minute saw it was a dually pickup... I nearly had its arch and wheel off! nice trucks though!

Apache that is just annoying!! I think import costs a few months ago stood at about £700 from new york to southampton (perfect for me) an then you had insurance which varies and then it was 22% export and because there pickups 17.5% vat on top of it all! Which still makes importing a older american 4x4 cheap as chips in comparision to what people what for them over here!

i like the dually in lethal weapon. its a gmc.
if i was going to have the suburban, it would have to be the v8 turbo diesel (6.5litres its massive)

when i was in new york about 2002-2003 i had the telly on, and on the adverts were 3.0 nissans (big, like lexus is400 style) and other makes of similar size and similar engine size, they were up for £3000 roughly. these are brand new.
but now chevy and dodge are trying the uk market they are not as expensive as other similar cars of size and type over here. ok they are front wheel drive and have pooey engines, but its a start
              Oh Nana, what's my name?

True, Hummer and dodge have released Uk models, But the Ram is ONLY available in 1500 basic spec! nothing snazzy about it and Hummer have a right hand drive H3. The chysler 300c is a good example of american styling making it across the pond.

The chevrolet Colorado is again a fantastic example! Its basically an american truck but on the scale of our regular pickups. a 3.0ltr Turbo Diesel engine, Somewhat simple insides but a great look! a rare truck... Its all based on isuzu running gear! Its a Rodeo Denver Max with a new body. If you can find them it would, for me at least be a serious contender if i was in the market for a new(ish) double cab pickup truck.

No, I have seen one offroad before and it ended up with both front tyres pointing inwards!! BUSTED!!

I'd be seriously pi$$ed if i paid the £60,000 odd people want for a 2nd hand H1 an then broke the damn thing!

you must not have seen the same program i did.
imagine different size marbels on a table and some very large ones. and then a hummer the size of a tiny pea, i see a old H1 climbing over these on some program about them. the wheels were on different boulders. he was hardly moving though

Don't believe everything you see on TV!

They are to low and long in the real world, I saw one on the Rubicon, once the belly gets hooked up no amount of traction is going to save you. The people spent most of the day stacking rocks and winching to get them over things. We got to mid point of the trail a whole day ahead of them, in Jeeps, Bronco's and a 1952 Willy's wagon!

Bear in mind that Land Rover came under fire recently for the defender wolf supplied in Iraq because of poor armour etc so not all military trucks are perfect! I think Santana is now doing Uk contracts...BUT ive just read that the people in charge of the Uk military contract stuff has just given hummer £2.1 billion!!! So our boys might be in a H1... Or a H2 on 24" spinners?!?

Hummers belong in the desert, working for the military hauling things and troops, for which they are great. Remember that the H2 or 3 is a far cry from the military originals.
