Hi, I ve had my 3rd gen 2yrs now (no, Im still not a hairdresser) Its the best truck ever - my struggle is to keep the Hubby out of it AND he has much faster bikes and cars to play with!
Linda had her truck before we met! She also had fitted a 2" suspension lift on it before we got together, so no conversion needed here, sometimes I even find myself trying to convince her NOT to do something mad to her truck!!
4x4toys.co.uk - Keeping you on and off the road...
I finally got my beloved to part from her 04 civic sport to the far more practical 2nd gen 30lt surf. 3 kids, horse, dog just don't do civic's. A victory for husband kind i think, and she loves driving it now!
Are there any more converted wives out there!!
Had mine about 6 months now and I love it - oh and I am the wife
Had never driven one, been in one - didn't even test drive it (he did) fell in love with um and just knew I wanted one
Hubby don't mind drivin it but he'd rather play wiv his fast toys - does enjoy a bimble round though which is a suprise
I bought mine one night off a guy that had it listed on eBlag, with a caveat that it was for sale elsewhere, so we did the deal mostly over email while I sat on the sofa next to Dana, then told her I needed to go to Sheffield at the weekend to pick it up.....
Anything I do to it, I just get a smile and 'that's nice' comments....
So, she hasn't driven it, won't drive it, doesn't want to drive it and hasn't even tried to get in since the lift....mine, all mine!!!!! and I love it to bits
She grunts a bit hoisting herself in it but only sits on the nearside...it is mine, I drive it, I clean it (occaisionally), I maintain it.
So far she has had 3 cars written off, none of them her fault, honest! but I am not taking the risk, she has the volvo, thrashes it, puts the scratches on it, dents the corners, scuffs the bumpers (isn't that what they are for?) only checks the tyres, oil, water etc if I moan, that is hers till it falls apart. I guess if she doesn't like it then she can stay behind, got to go now I think she is coming
