  • Don't buy these lights!

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...7508&rd=1&rd=1

Another load of rubbish from eBay.
These lights don't fit my '94 Surf.
They don't fit within light cluster recess on wing and they are 10mm short on the tailgate side.

Now I expect I'll have a fight to get my money back.

    Regards.

I don't wish to be rude mate, only trying to help, but there are a lot of people who have left positive feedbacks for that item. Have you altered the back of the lights and replaced the connectors as he says in his ad? If not perhaps that is why they don't fit.

Try asking him first before you cut anything as these matters are normally easily sorted.

    Good luck.

Vince, you're a sly old dog, so I don't know if this is a p!ss take. I imagine that the gap between the light cluster and the body work is 10mm next to the tailgate when he's trying to fit it. It must be too long at the back of the new cluster, that's why the seller states new connections need to be fitted.

another thought, are the rear light clusters different if you have the spare wheel underslung or rear mounted?

Yep have done exactly what is says. I'm reasonably adept at this sort of thing and have tried fitting without any cables at all, with the same result.
Guess I must have a bad pair. I thought it a bit sneaky to be told I need longer bolts only on taking delivery.

My tailgate is also at the back, that's where I've been trying to fit the tail light cluster as the link shows. Had a few beers have we???
