what do you need? 45mm pipe to join the silicone pipes up?

Yeah, I think so, but Ian on this thread has said I may need 48mm hose, but if the in/out is 45mm why would I need 48??

presumably all sizes are internal diameter?

Your going to have to go with the nearest size you can get, its better to have it a bit tight if you can, better than too loose, a little silicon oil helps too, i had to pack one joint with a bit of smaller tube to get it to fit, the bit that joins the s/s pipe
