Errm, can someone tell me WHAT was for sale for £30? I just got in and the ads been pulled. It says bumper in someones earlier post but was it front / rear / full rear with quarters on? Go on, tell me what I missed.

I was thinking about hunting for one this evening on the internet! see what i come up with.. It was just the luck of the draw how it all went!! I was shocked when i found out about it! I honestly thought there was a mix up and it was up at £300 not the £30 advertised!! I payed £100 for it, As pops told the girl its worth a damn site more then £30! I'm pretty sure its worth damn more then £100! But i cant knock it for that price!

never mind rod it was still a bargain
the one on ebay is an ally you need a steel plate to reinforce it for winch so dont think will bother with that one

I found it when I was reading the thread about the one on ebay. I wondered how much they cost new and googled 'TJM bumper'. First thing that came up.

I couldn't believe it either and nearly bought it as a matter of principle. Glad someone here got hold of it.

Hmmm. It's not like you've done that before, is it?

You lost me there Matt. Must be from being on holiday for so long and losing the ability to speak forumish.

The only time I can find where I said that before was when someone was selling an intercooled 3rd gen for 4 grand.

I emailed her about it and she said it was still for sale but I didn't buy it because (a) I don't ever go off road (b) I am a bit funny about big lumps of metal on the front of vehicles when they're not needed (c) my own vehicle is still in Tony's field where it has been since March and I really must call him and arrange to get it before a full year passes and it requires a further service and MOT.

Speaking non-forumish then, it's not like you to be tempted to buy $hite or stuff you have no use for just because it's cheap, is it?

BTW, nice to have you back online.

                            Thank you, how kind.

Would you be referring to a pair of first gen door cards here, or maybe a piece of plastic that is glued just above my barely functioning rear window? Possibly the 5 metres of black leatherette, the 10 metres of self adhesive chrome trim, the white dials, the stainless steel bezel, the various fake (but amusingly ironic) TRD badges, the rear light guards (all still in a cupboard) or, in fact, the entire remarkable unused vehicle? Either way, I think you're exaggerating a bit.

yeah exactly mate! It was never purchased with the intention of making any kind of profit! I got it to fit to my surf! I would've felt guilty to be honest giving her £30 for it!! As you said mate! no point in ripping someone off.
