  • Torsion Bars

I got around to adjusting the torsion bars on my truck today, seeing as the new rear springs have had two years to settle in. It was dead easy, probably because I had been spraying them with WD40 every time I went under the truck to grease the nipples, ready for when I got around to doing the job.

I can't find the link to the original how to adjust thread. I was just surprised that there is not a locking nut to stop the adjuster nuts undoing.

The main thing is that the truck no longer looks like a street rod. I will take an after pic to go with the before pic from two years ago!
    It's only a hobby!

Hi phil, they are easy to do you went down the right route wiv the wd40, this is wot i did 4 a week but still could'nt move them! so like you i just sprayed them them nearly every day for another month!!! hey presto!!!
wot would we do wiv out wd40.

The nut dosent need to be a nylock type because of the down force created when vehicles weight is on the floor..

so what next? some bj spaces? it might be level then....
