    The other week, I ordered a very nice mountney steering wheel and boss kit as a few will know.
    Since fitting the kit my indicators no longer 'self cancel' and as such I have to manually switch them off myself, which is a bit of a pain. Especially if you need two hands on the steering wheel. What makes it more of a pain is that the indicators on the Jap cars are on the other side.
    So I gave speeding.co.uk a call, as they seemed quite helpful in the first email I received from them and I assumed the same level of service.
    This was not the case. I spoke to a young chap and after some time of speaking - the outcome was 'I will have to live with it'. He said they were not prepared to take the boss back as they would not be able to sell it on. I thought this was fair enough. I didn’t expect them to take it back. But since they didn’t tell me I would loose this functionality and now I have I expected some sort of re-imbursement.
    I did eventually ask to speak to the manager, as the boy was under instruction to say we are not prepared to do anything.
    Once I established the manager knew the problem I was having, I asked for a compromise, I said I would be happy with a 50% refund on the boss kit. Since that was the defective part. This would amount to £19.98.
    The manager was adamant he was not open to negotiation. Even though I stated on 'other notes' section upon ordering that the car I had was: Toyota hilux surf 1992 - same as 4runner.
    He said to me that if I used the word 'import' that they then would of told me about the indicator issue. I wasn’t pleased with his answer.
    Seems that companies these days don’t care about customer service, only the part on their bank statement that says 'Money in...'
    I advise other members to use alternative suppliers. And I will happily send the business the link to this post.

    Im a bit confused by this. I had a Mountney wheel and boss kit on mine, which i changed from the original. Ive since changed it again for some Italian wooden jobby and boss kit that I picked up. Im sure that all the indicator gubbins is fitted below where the boss goes on and it doesnt change or alter in any way the self cancelling stuff. Ive fitted these steering wheels and bosses to both my old 2.4 and my current 3.0. and never had a problem Im going to have to take it all off now and check again.

      lol, sorry. you know if your right then im a complete pratt, unless 'that bit' wasnt included in what i got by mistake or...
      if you are right, then it also shows them. they told me because i have an import, the indicators wont ever work with my new boss.

        I've changed the steering wheel on mine, and although it's not a Mountney one, they all attach on to the same bit. Pretty much all there is is the bolt that the boss attaches onto, and the wire for the horn. There is nothing there that has anything to do with the indicators, that's all dealt with within the steering shroud.

          not mine. i spoke to the bloke who comes on here from australia and he said he had to make little notches on his because they were put in the wrong place. i looked on the back of my toyota steering wheel and i can see the notches.
