  • cheap MT tyres!

Does anyone have any idea where to pick up a set of 5 Mud/T Tyres for a better price then £468.59?

    Size is 285/75/16

the price i got was for some Kumho Mt 834's

Ive been crawling through tyre places and they all seem to be about £80-£100 each for that size

Cheers mate! Ive emailed them about prices for the Kumho's in the larger size and the Insa turbo Dakars in 265/75/16!

the colways are cheap as chips for under £50 a tyre!

Im really struggling to make up my mind about going up another 2" or not! I know if i dont i'll regret it! But Im finding it hard to justify forkin out about £800 for new suspension parts n tyres

I got 33's - Machos - and they wreck my fuel economy.

Do not underestimate the weight of the tyres - I change mine to off road - and I can barely lift the 33's whereas I can lift the 31's easily!

Machos are a bit noisy on road but they ROCK off road!

or on http://www.4site4x4.co.uk/ i done a search and getting a set of 4 insa turbo mountain 31x10.50 15s fully fitted on my road wheels for £270 all in, after phoning up a couple of local tyre centres that came up under a few different local postcodes

Ive done some checking up and the difference in size between 265/75/16 and 285/75/16 is 30mm! Obviously the width is a vast change but the 285's are sh!t loads more expensive! I think i'll continue the lift and fit 265/75/16 Insa turbo dakars with some wheel spacers! At least my wee 2.4 will be happy still

check these out starting with for Toyo AT`s about £70.00 ea. del. and budget about £10.00 ea. max. for fitting and disposal of old tyres. There are some MT`s further down. Bet the Toyo`s are good on fuel economy though.

                comparison
                from http://www.dakota-truck.net/TIRECALC/tirecalc.html

                If your speedometer has been calibrated for 265/75 R 16 (32 x 10.43 x 16) tires, replacing them with
                285/75 R 16's (33 x 11.22 x 16's) would result in the speedometer reading low by 3.60%.
