just a couple of questions i need before i spend a fortune i want to know about how much it would be to get a crankshaft fitted also could i fit a second hand one or would it have to be new. my surf is a 2.4 1992 auto its my pride and joy so i need to get it fixed i just need a bit of an idea how much it will cost me as im abit skint at the moment iv just fitted new wheels and tyres, roof light pods,lexus tail lights and crome guards,and bonnet scoop,and then the crankshaft nacks up now im all spent up

Fitting a new Crank with new Big ends or a 2nd hand one with old big ends.
A 2nd hand crank with old big ends is asking for trouble as the crank should really be ground with new Big End Shell Bearings.
