Hi
I thought I'd let you into my thoughts on what to with wasted loft space in the garage.
This is a project under construction I will provide a bucket of water for anyone who visits with a mobile phone!
I got hacked off with things falling through the rafters at me so decided to chap a hole in the wall clean out the old s$$$$ and took it from there.
Cheep door £36 including locks and hinges.
Stove £70 odd quid.
Stove pipe £250.
Stairs etc about £150s wood from local timber yard.
Off cuts of flooring and a couple bits from local supplier.
week of evenings and some old paint from the loft and hey presto I now have dads room above the garage.
Needs finishing but I wanted to make it look like a old traditional retreat
I will insulate with glass fibre and hard board.
Local builder wanted £2k to knock the door in !!
I now have some where to sit and ponder instead of a place to pile full of junk and only access via a rickety old ladder.
Cheers JB
