TBH John its an endemic of modern life,

interestingly outside their vehicle,
they almost never display this level of inadequacy,
look around Tesco's aisles for sign of trolley rage on the same scale,
it gets pretty short shrift
(and carefully aimed ankle shot)
sets things straight

sometimes I even mutter an apology
after I've done it

Ooh, don't get me started on supermarkets!


I've nothing against the retired generation in general, but why oh why do they have to do their wandering around the aisles on a saturday???

They've got the WHOLE FECKIN' WEEK TO DO THEIR SHOPPING!!!

can't be arsed with all that abuse at the wheel stuff, i give way all the time and get no thanks.
indicators not working? that'll be my fault then, sorry, i'll have to work on my mind reading a bit more.
some people have issues with there temper behind the wheel, it's like a form of invincibility.
like some moron who's been sat up your arse for a couple of miles, on the bendy roads, and as soon as the straight appears, overtakes, beeps and throws a w^nker at you.
it is annoying, i just think they must have something missing in life, to make you so mad as to throw abuse at random strangers.
i think pity them really.

Shopping trolleys

Might there be a market for temporary nudge bars
I could take with on shopping trips to Sainsburys.

(a universal fitting to ASDA/Morrisons trolleys migh be good)

could cruise the aisle with impunity,
all the time flashing 'headlight'

My wife says exactly the same thing. It's really a PITA when they amble about blocking the aisles and chatting. We've already decided that we will not go food shopping on a weekend when we retire in a few years time.

i was coming back from london in my mums car on putney bridge. ive never ever driven over that way and like you i found myself in the wrong lane. there was a little traffic, so i indicated to show i wanted to move over and i moved to the left of my lane and looked over my shoulder. a gap cleared, then the car in the other lane behind sped right up and moved over to the right side of his lane causing our mirrors to clip, forcing mine off and on to the floor where i then ran over it (bl00dy renaults) as he then screamed at me shouting abuse and then sped off.
he had some $$$$py toyota estima or somthing that was battered. my mums car is a brand new week old renault megane.
luckily it was just the outer body coloured casing that unclipped and come off. no other damage.
the thing is, he caused the accident by moving over to me, i wasnt in his lane at all. if he wasnt going to let me in, he could of just moved up to the car in front. i would of been £60 richer!

It's known as section 3 of road traffic act failing to give due consideration to other road users.

In my book that means pulling over to allow others faster than you to overtake on quiet country roads or even a roads I do it all the time especially when driving class 1s.

I also believe due care and consideration should mean being courteous to thers who have found themselves in the embarassing position of being in the wrong lane.

There are those who undertake on motorways and try to cut your nose off, like the one your describing thats section 3 as well I grudge letting them in but would rather do it and shake my head in dispair that cause a tip to the coach works.

I get this type all the time, Theyre in the wrong for whatever reason & they just give you abuse.

My works van has a very loud P.A system built in. My pet hate is when people don't acknowledge you when you let them out/pull over on country lanes etc.

It's usually primed and ready for a "Don't you know how to say thank you" as they pass without thanking me.

It's great to see their brake lights go on as they panic and makes me feel great!
