  • Does Toyota use any 9mm nuts or bolts on our Surfs?

This might be a strange question so let me explain….

I have a reasonably good selection of tools in my shed but I wanted some extra socket sets to keep in one of the side lockers of my Surf. I bought 3 sets in ¼”, 3/8” and ½” inch drive made by Teng Tools (good quality Japanese). http://www.tengtools.com/default.aspx
Really nice red boxes that keep the tools secure and well organised. No need to go routing in the shed for a misplaced socket.

Anyhow between these three sets (MR1221, MR3824 & M1422) I can cover sizes 4mm to 19mm with just one gap at 9mm (and then sockets in 21,22,24,27,30,32mm*). So I’m just wondering if 9mm is used at all on our surfs? If it is I’ll go and buy another set.

    * I know the Diff drain plugs are 24mm, but I can’t see the other sizes getting much use…. normally with the larger socket sizes I just go and buy those I know I need.
Those side lockers are quite spacious really, I’ve got these 3 sets and a set of ratchet spanners in the left side.
Mine WAS a 150 bhp V6 and ran on PETROL

          i've got 20 13mm sockets but only 1 12mm....

everything's frickin' 12mm.... damn the metric system!!

Three numbers for a six number draw. Hmmmm, is it just your spelling I should be checking Woodzie?

Toyota might not use many of them, but my custom CHILLITT re-build has a vast array of all sorts of bits and bobs holding stuff together!!

The boy did good, but I wouldn't fancy taking it apart in a hurry!!
