  • been on me fork lift course....

started my forklift course on monday, reach and counterbalance, this week we are on reach, then once thats done, the counterbalance is a 1-2 dayer.

it's quite tricky, but good fun too and the instructor is top boy.

did't realise just how dangerous a forklift is, and how easy it is to tip one, last year approx 370 people died as a result of forklift related injurys. just over 1 a day

    anyhoo got some pics....

i passed mine years ago(used to work for B.T in their warehouse)..sit n reach..tpr(a small electric pallet truck that u sit on..great when u found a wet patch on the concrete floor and spun 180degrees..shh i never did it honest boss)..also trained on the hi-rackers(pallet trucks that followed a wire in the floor between the racking..and various other fork lifts ..including a huge truck that could have done alot of damage (if u wanted)...oh the memories...

Ah Forklifts. I am a top forklift driver, if I say so myself. I've driven counterbalance, swivel, long reach, all rough terrain.

Check this one out!! This is me next to a Volvo BM4400. I was the NCO in charge of my troops MHE section.
