Fair comment, but the way I see it, I need to take extra care that I don’t run into someone (I do have bull bars fitted)…. But its just their hard luck if they run into me!

In 27 years on the roads I’ve never caused an accident….. I have however had a few people run into the back of me…. Why should I be a SOFT target for others to run into?

I got a load of abuse from a cyclist the other day for having an 'A' bar on my Surf.

"Do you need to have $$$$$$ bull bars on that thing?" he shouted.

          "F*ck off!" I replied.
          WHISKEY!!!

i prefer seeing them with the bull bars- it makes them look a bit more beefy.
they look even better with the spot lights on. the ammount of times ive needed them and not had them!

what gen is your surf? up for a swap of bull bars? mine needs brackets to go from the bars to the chassis for some reason they are missing. ive posted before and a few people seemed to know what i needed

                  No bullbar

Took my abar off. The wrap around ones are great for brush protection off-road.
I`ve seen a few bars cause more damage in an accident. For example top of the bar folding against the bonnet and grill. Bumpers are cheap. Having a bonnet sprayed & fitted is not.

hopefully pic is attached to this, successfully removed existed A bar and yellow toyota lights. Husband thinks truck looks great like this. I would love to have chunky chrome bull bar just accross bumper - not A bar style......what do you all think looks best?.....
has to be a bull bar, looks better and protects more

got to be the full bar, provides a lot of protection, and im selfish, I want to be ok in an accident.

i have george to provide a nice soft spot for the cyclists to hit

Thing is ..... they may have the opposite effect. Front crumple zone would soak up some of the energy in a crash, the bull bars wont do this.
