    cool!!

the first thing i did was ditch the square front numberplate, oblong on bumper now. made loads of difference when towing caravan. have raised rear edge of bonnet about 10mm, huge difference. made some deflectors for inside bonnet to stop any rain running onto fusebox and other electic through the gap. just flushed cooling system and replaced coolant. old stuff was nearly as clean as new!!! good news..

well looks like i am on the right track then.
got any pictures of the deflectors for inside bonnet to stop any rain running onto fusebox as was thinking that could cause a problem, mind you the mud and water in the engine bay when off roading not blown them yet. but maybe best safe than sorry in this case

                fixing bits..........

they are fixed behind the mounting bolts of the fuse box and other bits. just slackened them off and slid them behind. they are made of flexible but strong acrylic sheet. will do another one for wiper motor.

If it's the same setup as the 2.4, you could wire a switch inline between the temp sensor and the fan so you could manually switch it, and possibly also put a lower operating temperature sensor in.

One single pole toggle/rocker switch and some wire.

                        Open circuit = fan on.
                        Closed circuit = fan off.
