    Vatch & Boyo - the springs and shocks have arrived, and the lift kit...

    Is this the correct part number for the ES9000 +3" - 3C070291?

    Hope so.

    Vince should be sending his kit straight to you Mark, all I'm waiting for now is the mesh for the new grille and it's all here....

    You ordered shocks from Explorer last week and they came this week? Both of them? Same length? Eeeek! Must be getting their act together!

            from what i have heard that Explorer were in the proccess of changing hands or something as a family member died and the rest couldn't be bothered with the business.Like i say thats what i have heard so don't know how true this is and if it was the reason people weren't getting the correct orders

              Procomp part numbers are 6 figure - you should have 9 245 1X for the back

              9 = ES9000
              245 = 24.5'' long shock for +3'' surf lifted
              1 = stem and hoop
              X = some number to show what fixings are in the box.

              check out this catalogue http://www.explorerprocomp.com/PDFs/06cat/066-085.pdf

              Take the shock out of the box and hold it under the truck. With the shock at mid length, the bottom hoop should be 3'' below its mounting point (or thereabouts) when you hold the top in the correct position

                    OK - the full story is:

                    Ordered the shocks whatever day it was last week....Fri? I have from yesterday:

                    2 x 926510 shocks
                    2 x Blue L/C springs
                    1 x 1.5" lift kit
                    2 x UJs

                    I think the plan is:

                    Arrive on Sat am
                    Remove A bar + all spots
                    Install lift kit
                    Remove current shocks & springs
                    Install new shocks & springs
                    Cut out grille & lower valance grille
                    Install mesh grille
                    Fit spots onto chassis frame
                    Install mesh grille onto valance
                    Refit A bar
                    Refit ProComp spots
                    Replace UJs

                    Drink beer
                    Burn food

                    Let me know if this is achievable (I also may be ordering brake lines, I have a snorkel to fit, a bonnet scoop and two small air vents, remove the A/C and install a bash plate that I haven't got)

                        Yeah - that's a nice to have!

                        I've bought two from RoughTrax following Neville's thread on his blowing on the road the other day, and not ever greasing mine, EVER!

                        If it's easy to do, I'll do it when I get home
