  • Job Done. Tints & Sticker.

Glorious day so decided I'd try my hand at tinting the rear window. Read up all I could find on here (which was a great help).

Removed horrible old silver 'Surf Urban Sporty' film and cleaned glass umpteen times. Cut out and applied new tinted film (long story).

Put everything back together and applied Stormys sticker. Job done.

I have posted before and after piccies for you perusal.

The tint is actually much darker, it's just that the sun was VERY bright.

The window certainly looks better with the old stuff off and the new and sticker on

finish the back off nicely, i bought copycats old one as he aquired one the same colour as his surf, just had to respray mine and stuck some lights on it,

Sorry mate, I think I'm one of the founder members of the hated 'Clean & Shiney Club'.

One day though, who knows......................... .............

HEY, wait a minute though, I've just seen a picture of your Surf on Vatch's Tints Thread, it looks every bit as clean as mine! Talk about people in glass houses!

I use Photoshop CS, although most paint and photo programs will do the same. I just cut out the number, use the eyedropper tool to sample the yellow and then use the paint bucket tool to fill in the gap.
