went out to do some shopping
on the way back we thought we'd check out the "devcils highway" in silchester... it was getting a bit dark and we were on our own, so after 100 yds i tried turning round to go back.... big mistake!
got stuck, got muddy trying to get it out... then it overheated!

phoned up a mate to get a winch, he got lost and turned up after about and hour.

winching out the motor (only a tirfor winch so took ages to set up and tie to tree) the police turned up and grilled us about what we were doing!
finally got out, went home.

only went and reversed into the neighbours rover!!

now i've noticed the windscreen's cracked!

so i'm going to bed now... a bit miffed!

anyone know the price of a door for a rover?

or a knock out dent, fill, spray and polish?

dents and scrapes about 2ft accross!!... oops... it's black and it was dark and i was peed off....

if it wasn't for these DIY CCTV cameras, i'd have got away with it too!

Unless things have changed since I was spraying it will be around.

3hr labour for the beating filling [ depends how bad it is mind ]
3hr labour for the paint [ depends what colour, clear over base ? ]
And then the cost of the parts [ any trim damaged ? ]
Last time I bought 2 pack it was around £30 a ltr

Yeh and while you were getting an earful someones car was getting nicked and someones daughter was being sold a deal but you were the easiest target :f**k them:

there but for the grace of.....

I was reversing out a parking space outside of my garage yesterday, daydreaming as usual. I did the usual thing and reversed, checked my rear view mirrors, turned the wheel.....and just noticed at the last second that the neighbours Astra was parked close up next to me! I came within half an inch of lunching the side of his car.

Thank Christ for autoboxes too, I was reversing downhill, and if I had a manual you can bet your life I would have bu**ered up the hill start and rolled into him.

Sorry to hear about your mishap though, these are big beasties and half the time I could do with another set of eyeballs and three extra arms!

I wouldn't do a runner if the damage was substantial. I have driven on "innocently" after taking the door mirror off a doulbe parked car though.
