Hi folks.
Broke down on the afore mentioned road yesterday about 11.30 am.
Air con belt snapped and took out the fan belt with it. The result was a birds nest of shredded belts jammed between the pulleys and rad. Unfortunatly i had removed my tool box from the car as i had been fishing and needed the space for the family tackle collection ! Took nearly 3 hours for the AA to turn up as Pliers were needed to remove the "nest". Pretty sure a couple of fellow forum members went by as we waited for the AA. I know these are dodgy times but it was daylight and all we needed was pliers, I'm sure i'd have stopped and asked if there was anything i could do to help. Any way managed to limp home once the nest had been removed (38 mile trip) and new belts are on order. Lesson learned.. Never leave home without a basic tool kit !.
