You can now get frontline (the flea thing) without a perscription, countrywide farmers do a 3 month treatment for about 15 quid..
      it's in me shed, mate.

Its a little capsule of smelly stuff you put on the back of the dogs neck, smells for a couple of days, then they are good for 3 months

Flea things are a tiny drop of liquid placed on the upper neck and cost ten bob from Pets @ Home.

Vets are nowt but a total rip off and do more harm to animals due to over charging, more and more dead dogs found shot or decapitated 'cos owners cant afford to get the poor animal destroyed @ £80 a jab.

deffo a sheperd x greyhound may be abit more in the mixing pot though ,
usally make a very good house dog ie very laid back
with a lurcher you can learn all new cooking skills ie skinning rabbits ,squirrels etc
                    good luck with him

ps have you got a caravan ?????
Only Toyota can get you out of shite

Aye - defo got a GSD head / ears.
The injections will be for some of the major diseases dogs are prone to. we get ours jabbed every year. Things like fleas / ticks and wormers can be bought / administered yourself.
would recommend flea/tick treatment evry three months and do one in early autumn - espeacially if walking in woodland / moors.
                      Everyone thinks I'm paranoid!!

(the bald bit is cos she's just had her "lady bits" removed!)

It looks to me with those ears like an Australian Dingo. Sweet looking dog. Why was it in a rescue home? Looks a really nice dog, what's her temperment like??

Looks quite a lot like a lurcher.
A lurcher is more a type a dog than a breed and is normally a combination of a running dog (like a greyhound or whippet) with a working dog (collie, GSD etc).
                            Go to
                            http://www.lurcher.org/llink/forum/index.php
for more info on lurchers and see how your's looks against everyone elses
                            Here's one of my two
                            http://farm1.static.flickr.com/105/2...6f24550823.jpg
She's has got loads of different breeds in breeding history and looks like a deerhound but about a foot shorter

i dont think we're a rip off at all - strangely enough i have to earn a living! I'd quite like to mend all sick animals for free, but somehow I have to pay the rent and all the bills and the socking great 5 figure loan i had to take out to put myself through uni to do this job which really sucks when in general most people are just so ungrateful!
