It was just a case of considering any future progression…..
As regards the neighbours’ new Ford, Vauxhalls, Renaults or whatever… I’d much rather spend money on a good quality second-hand vehicle that I enjoy driving than some boring new family hack….
As I say, I do like the Land Cruisers…. But not the very latest versions… they look too much errr like a Hair Dressers’ LC…..
Hmmm, I wonder if the Land Cruiser (or Shogun /Padjero) Forums have the same sort of dislike of newer “plastic” models?Mine WAS a 150 bhp V6 and ran on PETROL

I personally like the 3rd gen. It's bigger, has better brakes and looks good (apart from the ar*e end).
But I do like my 2nd gen with all it's goodies and chrome all over the place. I still think they should have put discs on the back though, even the Pajero has rear discs.

Will we need a policy re-think so that it is acceptable for us “real men” to drive these 3rd Gens, and not just Hair Dressers?
Personally, in a few years time I’d like to move on to a full size Land Cruiser …. That is if we haven’t been priced off the roads by then.Last edited by Hilux; 29 March 2007, 20:57.Live Life To The Full

I am already driving one of Bob’s pre-owned Surfs….
I do like that version…. what series is it? what engine? How old?
Having spent £1,600 on my Surf last month I think it would be daft to sell it just now.Mine WAS a 150 bhp V6 and ran on PETROL

Ha you young whipper snappers dont yet realise that aSURF IS FOR LIFEnot just a fashion statment.
Treat her nice with a bit of TLC and she will serve you well till she dies.My 1st gen was born in April 1989 one of the last to roll of the line and she is still going STRONG even after 7 years of abuse. If the puddles to deep..LEARN TO SCUBA.
