    yeah right............
you've all seen the ads, right...???
"if you have 3 years no claims, we guarantee to beat your renewal"

well, mines due, so i thought why not....???
i didn't tell 'em my renewal quote, told 'em to do the best they could and impress me..... the details i gave were the same as my current insurer, so it's a real like for like..................
the result..... £210 dearer, yes dearer, very nearly twice the price...!!!

when the lady asked me how did that compare..??
i asked her if that included a years supply of petrol.....???
    stupid people............

    anyway, see ya'll

    Tesco - no way

Just thought I'd try for a comparison quote and decided on Tesco/Bell...

    Tesco
Will have to pay Excess totalling over £400
    Total cost £1289.40

    Bell
just got an on-line quote for £729

Forget Churchill, Admiral and the main promoters - tried em all last year and was receiving quotes between £700 and £1400 and thats:

    Age 35 (now 36)
    Category 2 immobiliser
    Insured drive only
    parked on driveway

looks like i'm staying with lifesure @ £550.00

I know exactly what you mean,

I had a letter from Churchill - £378.00, meanwhile A-Plan gave me a renewal quote of £255, when I called Churchill and we went through the questions the quote rose to over £600.

Can we form a queue to 'Challenge Churchill' - ie challenge churchill to remove the quote from where the sun doesn't shine !!!

Text all the details to BBC Watchdog, let Nicky Campbell sort them out and name and shame.

All those insurance adds are b0ll0cks, all of em were more than the tesco quote, even the one i was already with, norwich union through the AA, renewal was £100 more than tesco's, £300 excess but i figure if i bend it than much they'll want to right it off anyway, so i'd do the repair myself,
Any way the adds are silly, get on my $$$'s, stupid elephant, admiral plonker with a parrot, their incapable of doing a good advert, unlike Walkers Crisps

I'm with Budget, FC with protected NC for under £300.

Was with Priviledge before that who were OK at about £380 for the same deal.

When I rang round for quotes, Tesco came somewhere in the middle of those two. TBH though, it's all just legalised robbery.

Does the 'how many miles do you drive per annum' box on their website go down low enough for you though?
