My telly just went paff!

It's one of the last of the normal TVs too, Sony Trinitron 29" nicam stereo and all that.
It's like another death in the family, been my mate for nine years that telly, came to me second hand as a gift as the previous owner emigrated to Majorca.
Playing a PS2 on a 15" portable is just not the same. I'm gonna have to take a deep breath and get one of them new fangled LCD or plasmatic thingmybobs now!

Any sugestions on a good (cheap)TV the same size screen so it can fit in the same hole in my chimney breast?

You'll be lucky,everything is wide and flat these days, can't get a normal tele, and most programs are in w/s nowerdays so you can't see the whole picture.

You'll probably be able to pick up another 29" 4:3 telly for next to nowt 2nd hand again Vince. Even in Comet etc they're only around the £200 mark.

Yeah I was thinking that. I was gonna have a look on my way home tonight but the truck must have been on auto pilot and I found myself at home instead!


p.s. why are all new tellys silver? I want a black one! Who said that from now on all tellys must be silver?

Just been to my local tesco and they have a good selection of "normal" tele's in there. I was nearly tempted myself but i'm buying a bike on friday so i'm a bit skint!
