upgrading gearbox

not a surf question but a hilx mk 1 pick, but hope you can help, has a four speed manual box but would like to change to 5 speed box is this poss and what box would i need, hope someone can help

All depends on wot engine is fitted .If its diesel I think you can fit a 5 speed but would need the flywheel and clutch assembley aswell , also propshafts are different lengths to the 4 speed .I think the transfer shift is in a different location , so may need to adjust the floor to make it fit .
