  • does any body know

    looking under the bonnet today there was a black plastic plug about 2.5" long with two wires coming out of it that tapers down to a rounded nipple its on the left hand side by the air filter box does anybody know were it fits or does it just hang down cannot post pic till wife comes home and shows me how to do it many thanks

    Sounds like air temp sensor, goes in hole on side of air filter box.

        I found mine after I'd had the truck for a month or so. Slotted it back in but I couldn't notice any difference in the way it ran!

          What happens with this sensor if you replace the filter with one of the induction style ones. Do you strap it to it cut it off?

            Drill a hole put the Rubber grommet in it and fit the sensor easy.
            Thats what I did with mine.

              I used the original elbow of the old filter box lid......

                      It might be dangling down in the engine bay somewhere. Without one, I would have thought your MPG would be bad!
