Never understood the 'new car' thing. Nearly bought a Focus RS a few years ago with the Ford employee discount (my uncle), but when I worked everything out, you just lose way too much money.
I bought the Surf in the end, but before I did, I was considering Fiat Coupe Turbo (full leather), Alfa GTV V6 (full leather), Celica GT4. Could have had nice examples of each of them for half the cost of a new Celica, or a couple of them for the same price as a Focus RS.
All of them would have pasted the RS for performance, all look so much better. The sums just didn't add up, but them fate took hold and I ended up with a lumbering great 4x4!
