      A well bent wire coathanger will become useful ,as i found out when i broke my tibia and had 6 months in plaster

        hope you get better soon or at least get used to that $$$$$$ great cast!!! is it a plaster of paris cast as they are quite heavy but when the swelling goes down you can get it changed for a glass fibre one. Which are lighter and stronger so you will be able to get arround easyer. Take it easy and get some all-terrain slippers for when you get back on your feet.

          Thanks for the info, i am going back on the 12th and will ask about the fiberglass one as this one is as heavy as anything. Also thanks to Drunkenmonkey, i think, re the coathanger idea, i think could be very useful.
