When you ban a member is there an option to redirect them to a certain web page ?

Think of the fun finding out you are banned then you are sent to a bobble hat forum

Think we could keep the spammers, bobble hats and greenp**s busy for ages

Regarding the spammers - there is a mod available for the php forum software to allow moderators/admins to restrict posting to approved members only - members can be given "auto-approval" so that that all their posts are approved. However, before this is given, posts have to be approved by a moderator before they can be seen by a. the general populace and b. search engines.
I use this mod on a forum I administer, and it makes it dead easy to weed out the spammers, 'cos I get an email telling me "Posts awaiting approval", and if it is the usual Viagra-ad, it gets zapped, the user gets deleted and their IP address blocked. (No '3 strikes and you're out' with me... )

PM me if you want any more info on this, and I'll dig it up.

No option to redirect them to another website, just ban them for life.
As for moderating each new member, good idea and the option is there but its time consuming. With the new security code in place robots can not automatically register as they cant read the pass code and enter it. So any spammers have taken the time to manually register. As its got less recently will run with it for a while and see how it goes.
Say not always what you know, but always know what you say.
