Hi folks...who knows....
the artist / title of the incidental music played on grandstand when showing the highlights of the program - not the main theme music.
It sounds like, and I'm sure it is, phil collins, but unsure of title.
i've been do do doing it in my head all night, and now it's bugging me.
want to down the track for a backing track to a golfing holiday video for my mates.

bare with me ...it goes something like this...
diddle le dee de dee dit
di di dee dit
de di di dee dit
de di di de di di.

mainly trumpets and a tight snare drum line.
HELP???

It sounds very similar to "cannot believe it's true" - phil collins
I think it's from his earlier stuff - face value, no jacket required era!

Not 100% on grandstand though..but it was a saturday afternoon terestrial tv sports program - which makes it grandstand in my book??
I'm not a sporty person!!!

I mean incidental - as in played incidently between clips!
and instrumental means only instruments no singing!!
