Have you put ptfe on the thread ? Oh and don't hang off the spanner.....
just nip it up that should be ok
Yup. Put some extra ptfe on, and turned it up until it was starting to get tighter, then gave it another full turn or so. About 2/3 to 3/4 of the thread in the hole. Is that about right? Cheers Woodzie.

Well, finally got them all abouts finished today. All hoses and everything tie-wrapped and secured. Only thing to do now is decide on the final resting place of the front breather. It's in the passenger footwell at the moment. Think I'm gonna' pop it in the engine bay in a short length of ally tube which can be capped off if water ingress is expected. A sealable container, so to speak. Thanks ever so much once again Woodzie.
I got to get some new unions so i can do my breathers cause i can't get the pipe on the original breathers i think its 10mm pipe i got.I got the toyota part no's for the straight unions but not got a number for the angled unions so will the straight unions fit on the front diff ok.Also has the gearbox got a breather and has anyone done that one if it has one

You're fine with the straight one for the front. Unless it was a swivel type, you wouldn't have space to fit an angled one anyhows on the front. It's the rear that you're better with an angled one for, merely to keep it away from the exhaust. But, you can use a straight one on there as well, if needs be.
With regards to the gearbox one, it's a tight space to work on, apparently. Taking the cover and shroud from around the gear selector appears to be the easiest way to reach it. Can't remember anyone mentioning having done that one.

The beauty of it though is that you've got an excuse for it.
