You stick your head under the bonnet of any vehicle with an electric fan, and even the shoddiest, cheapest excuse for a cooling fan will look more robust and suited for the purpose than those ones.

Seriously, have a delve. You can find some corking fans, usually in the rad pile as they tend to rip the rads out to weigh in, and adapt one with a bit of effort. Get a temp switch off of a Corolla 'stat housing and you're sorted. (The Corolla temp switch cuts in at around the Surfs thermostat temp). Think the one I used was off a Vauxhall, as it was marked GM. Has a Bosch motor and alloy shroud. Get one of the sucking fans with the staggered curved blades, 15" or upwards and you're sorted.
