    Hi all

I'm new to the forum and soon to be the owner of a Surf so I've been trawlling the forum for hints of what to look for in my first Surf.

    I think I'll be getting a 3L 94 or newer.

We're planning on getting a large caravan so it was going to be a Isuzu Trooper until I read a few reviews on the Surf.

The discussion recently on head problems has been very useful.

Hi Witch and welcome to the home of insane surfers. Are you a hairdresser by any chance? If not go for the 2nd gen 3l its got more style and looks better than having plastic and hairstyling kit all over the place. As long as the surf is serviced properly and on time you should be ok but like any motor anything can happen.

I'm not a hair dresser no.

It'd be more likely to have building materials in the back, I love DIY

Not quite sure what year they start,it might be about 1989ish and finished in 1996 then the hairdressers took over

Thats good, we're looking at 94 - 97ish for what we can afford.

Here's a scary thought "Black Surf with bracked out windows bull bars etc" with an "L" plate on the front

My partner is still learning so she's going to have to get used to the height of the Surf as a learner.
