I definitely can't take the moral high ground on this one, but if I can take the hint and shut my gob, the others should be able to manage it too.

i wasn't meaning to just single any one person out Matt and i appologise if it looked if i was ,i was meaning it to the whole forum.I think we all need to think before we type and save anything starting up again

Bugger. I could have acted as if I was offended and made you feel guilty if I'd known. I hadn't taken it that way Richard. I was just making a point that if an opinionated bullheaded sod like me can know when to keep my trap shut, there should be hope for the others to learn.

TBH, I have got a bit sick of the sparring, but only for daft things. Important stuff like the first sprouting shoots of what looked like racism (another thread, not this one) need to be discussed IMO if we are to remain a civilised, free speaking society.

I do agree though, there's been a bit much of it lately and we should probably stick to trucks before we all fall out.

I've signed as well but agree with Andy that 100K is too low. Set it at around 1.5M and that would be a fair proportion of the voting public, many of whom may not have access to computers or the internet so would not be able to register their opposition online.

I signed up but I look at it as a 'kind of auction' if you ask for more (or less - depending) than what you realy want, by the time the government have finished messing about with it the numbers might actually be reasonable, If the requested percentages started high then by the time it had been inflated by Mr B it would probably never be evoked...........well thats my thinking anyway
