That's why I suggested the 50A's. They shouldn't be over rated to the degree of becoming oxidised, hopefully.

BUUUUT we dont know the current draw. Whilst I doubt it's as high as 70A as that would have to translate to something suicidally loud, I just dont know, and 70A is the nearest I have left OVER what I'd expect it to be.

I do have a double pole with 30/40A contacts. That might be better...

Tell ya what Andy forget the 30 amps, i'll get em from VWP as i already have two switches in place for the roof lights and then the wireing will be condusive (matching) the front light wireing, otherwise i'll get confused, If you have a relay suitable for the horns however i'll be glad of than and will make a small folding donation to the mac challenge, Ermmmm double pole! whats that? does it mean i can switch two things via the same relay?


This is the fuse and relay set up for the fronts (not fixed down in the pic) and the switches lay out (under the three gauges) from right to left they are,
angel eyes
one pair front spots
second " "
third " "
one pair roof lights
second " "
fog lights ( although i can change this switch for third pair of roofs if needed and fit fogs to another switch)

If he does need the 70A one, one hopes he's on good friend terms with a local alternator rebuilder as well, with all those lights and those on the go.

I'm saying nowt. I'd personally be surprised if it was above 30A though. Does bring another thought to mind, though. Blade fuses might be a sod for the job. Those horns may have a fairly hefty startup draw, so he may be better using some of the heavier duty fuses, with the slow blow/anti surge characteristics, rather than having an excessively rated blade fuse to compensate.

Have to agree with Matt on the wiring job. Puts my 'busmans holiday' job to shame. I like the battery terminal idea. Nice one. Might nick that idea!
