Yeah, I just re-read that post and it does look confusing.

One washer, or two together, totaling 3mm behind each bolt.
In other words, you want to space the plate away from the turbo 3mm.
(or more as long as you have a boost gauge fitted and you can monitor the boost pressure)

Smashing. Thanks for your help Vince. Sorry one more thing, wheredo I get and how should I fit a boost guage. Is it a permanent fixture or a tool. Is it similar to a vacuum Gauage that I have fitted to inlet manifolds in previous petrol cars?

        3X1MM.
I'm useless with numbers. There's 3 kinds of people in this world: those who can count and those who can't.

As Vince seems to be off line, yep very like a vacum gauge, its the one in the middle in the pic, very easy to fit, small pipe tees in and the lighting to the dash lights circuit, I'll get a pic of the connection in the morn but there's info on here about that,

No worries, wonder what would have happened though if I had gone the whole 9mm?

The red 'check' light will probably come on 'cos of over-boost and the ECU will cut power to the engine.
