  • Think yourself lucky...

I've had a really cr@p time with work lately. I hate the place, but have no choice - have to pay the mortgage. It's been getting me very down.

However, I'm watching 'The Smallest People In The World' on TV. Heartbreaking. I have two healthy kids, and my life could be a lot worse.

Yeah I thought I'd had a $$$$ christmas, then I discovered a mate (31) was diagnosed with Leukemia 2 days before Christmas. There's always someone worse off that ourselves. Chin up mate, things have a habit of sorting themselves out!

Good attitude. I say that however bad things are they could always be worse. If you really open your eyes you don't have to go far to see someone who is in a much worse position than we think we are.

Still stinks though when I see scumbags either at work or in the neighbourhood that seem to coast through life escaping the sh!t but delighting when it falls on others, sometimes with their participation. It's an unjust world.

I always try to keep things in perspective, my mum lost a brother when he was 23, a sister when she was 39, her dad at 73, mum at 82, dads folks went within a few years of each other - 53 and 59...and I lost my fiance to a drunk driver crashing into our car 10 years ago next month, 2 days before our wedding - so I try to keep that in mind when things are getting a bit tough at work or elsewhere ....

Sorry - didn't mean to put a downer on the forum...

Lost my mum three years ago age 96, your expecting it but it still knocks the wind out of ya a bit, there was always somewhere to go back to when she was in her old house, kind of bolt hole i never used but knew it was there, my dad died in 59 i was 13, it dose'nt sink in so much when your younger,
Too young to die and too old to give a toss

I got my big LiPo and speed controller for it today. Managed to reduce the weight with mini servos and the LiPo so will give it a nice smooth paint finish to make up for it
