    we had a refund a couple of months ago for council tax from when we were in a rented house about 6 or 7 years ago.I couldn't make heads or tails of the letter they sent out so i rang them up and they said that it was a rebate from so many years ago when we lived at the old place and they have reacessed the council tax and this is what youv'e got coming back. it was about £160 we had back

      Saw on the new's today that approx 1 million house owners may be entitaled to a council tax refund as 1 million houses have been banded wrongly.
      Too young to die and too old to give a toss

        And i bet they will try and get out of refunding as much as they can by telling us that we were all assesed correctly....especially as our council had to cough up 5 million for a blunder they created themselves with the local shopping centres and back handed agreements.
