  • Oil ?

    Potentialy Stupid Question.
    But I'm asking anyway.

On the top left of my dial console I have what looks like an oil meter.
It's got an L and and H, I guess this means Low and High.
Who says university educations are a waste of time.

I won't describe it, your probably know what it looks like.

My needle is currently fluctuating between the lower two 'boxes' which I guess means it's an about 1/3rd.

I'm guessing I need to top it up.
Here's where I need a bit of help.

What oil do I use ?
How much should I stick in ?

I don't want to overfill it, nor do I want to spend ages adding 1/2l then waiting for it to settle and adding another half if I need to add 2L to make a difference.

It's a 2.4td manual if that makes any difference.
    And it's red.
