If only you had marks bonnet you could just stick a whole battery tray in the scoop

i took the surf down to mates garage today to return the tools i borrowed turned engine off and when i went to start it was very slow turnover so he jump started it.Then i noticed a water leak from a pipe just above the thermo housing so went to halfords and got a piece of fuel pipe which was the same size and looked the same size bore went home changed that over then refilled coolant and went to get some fuel.turn off engine and pay for fuel go to start surf and nothing.Up with the bonnet so it looks as if i know what i'm doing and mess with the battery terminal leads and she started up so i have got to give the terminals a good clean and tighten them up again and see if it works ok after.

Pop a thin smear of copper-slip on the contacts as well, Richard. It protects them and also gives them a bits of bite.
