Diesels any good for jet drives? I always thought revs were what you're after with a water jet, but I suppose judicious gearing would get you there. I always thought fast boats were petrol powered as a rule, but then it's been a long time since I last got my feet wet!

a lot of jet drive work boats are diesel driven, basically a propeller inside a venturi tube as the water passes the venturi it speeds up hence the name jetdrive.same principle in a carburrettor.Originally posted by ApacheDiesels any good for jet drives?
