when you press the clutch down you are disengaging the gearbox,so this sounds like a gear box prob, if they didnt line up the clutch propely they would have had differculty getting the box back in and the way cowboys overcome this is by pulling the box in by the bellhousing bolts this can fu damage the first motion shaft bearing, i hope its not the case, to rule out the thrust bearing get someone to move it away from the pressure plate by the clutch fork and see if the noise goes, hope this helps in some way.

I've come to the conclusion that a lot of customers feel they are getting something extra if they get shafted four times as much. Being honest and truthful doesn't seem to register with a lot of them. Shafting them for cr@ppy work does. I'll never understand customers logic.

I have a close uncle who wont use my garage, he insists on using the largest non spec dealer in the area (Arnold Clark), his last "service" cost £220 + VAT which as far as I could see consisted of a oil & filter change on his 4 year old Kia!!!!!??

a neighbour next to my garage would insist to use main dealer because he wanted his service booked stamped by fords, after his last service £220 he came to me because a warning light was on,turns out his master cylinder had been leaking for a long time and they didnt notice, checked to see if they had serviced it, all they had done was an oil and filter change,it had old plugs, air filter etc he complained and they fitted a master cylinder free of labour "wow" and a free service that he had already paid for, work that one out?
