Thats only twice now, in 3 years of doing it daily, so I can live with it, at least its down the pit, not over the floor like last time.

Yeah, but I drained it at about 8am this morning, then did the steering rack bushes, wired the fog light, went out, had lunch, then came back a changed all the filters and filled it up with oil.

I'm gonna call it a 'block and sump flush', and say i ment to do it so you can stop picking on me!

'Obviously not' would be more precise, methinks. What is it, all of two months(?) since your last note to self.........?

Only done it once in the late 70's on a mate's MK2 Escort. Only problem was we did it outside his mum's house where she had just had new buff coloured paving slabs laid a week before. We were not popular

Better than a leaking oil filter seal and oil all over engine bay I suppose.

When I was in the Army, we did LOTS of servicing. One day a scroat decided to fill a brand new Wolf engine with oil. The oil dispensers were air operated, so filled a sump in seconds. This guy filled the engine until the oil was in the rocker cover. He started the engine, SH*T!!!!!

We had a run away engine. Had to put it in gear and stall it before it blew up. Luckily, it stalled and there was no damage to the engine...

Extras were the order of the day for him I might add...
