  • Is This A 1st Gen Front Valance?

Hi, bought this from eBay under the assumption that it was for a 2nd gen (poor picture and the seller wasn't sure). Anyhoo take a chance only to find that it oviously isn't from a 2nd gen.

Before I stick it back on to eBay can someone please confirm that it is from a 1st gen Surf?

    Thanks for your help.

Its not a 1st gen valance, unless maybe its an aftermarket version or something. Looks more 2nd gen to me! Definitely not 3rd gen either.

Are there any manufacturers names or part numbers stamped on it any where?

If its plastic then it is 3rd gen ! Maybe a 'hairnet' for a 3rd gen .

Can't see any mate and I've had a good look. Leads me to believe its an aftermarket panel. It's metal though not plastic.

I've looked at 1st, 2nd and 3rd gen pictures and it definately looks more 1st gen?

It is a 2nd gen valance, but its for the earlier 2nd gens, the narrow bodied ones with recessed headlights and toyota on the grill.....like vatchmans surf!

Cheers Rod, I've just realised what I thought was a 1st gen is actually an early 2nd gen like you described. I know what 1st gens look like so I have no excuse for such a glaring mistake.

Okay everybody you can start the p**s taking now.

Thanks to everyone for their replies and especially Rod!! Oh and apologies to Rob who also said it was a 2nd gen!
