4runner/surf ??

hi every body... my new 2nd gen surf is still fantastic!!!
i was just wondering ... before i bought it i looked at a 4 runner that
some local farmer was selling...but then i discoverd the surf!!
so if toyota made the 4 runner for this country then surley are the main
parts compatable with surfs ?? ie exhusts/running gear etc ??
as they are the same ,are they?? is the uk spec 3l diesel the same engine as my 2nd gen 3l diesel surf. so if you told your local toyota dealer you had a 4 runner he would get you the spares..(apart from all the extras)..

They are virtually identical, Milners seems to be the source most people here use to get their service parts from.
If you want the EPC (Electronic Parts Catalogue) can be found online, download this and you will never be in doubt at to compatability of parts etc, its a hefty download tho, search on the forum here for EPC to get the links.
